Some practices leave the insurance approvals up to you. In our practice, we will work with the insurance for you. In Indiana, many insurance companies require six months of non-surgical weight loss prior to surgery. We have developed a comprehensive six-month program based on National Institutue of Health recommendations. This will satisfy most companys' requirements. In addition, this program provides valuable information which will be useful for when living with the band and would be useful for those who decide that surgery is not for them. We have extensive experience working with local, regional and national insurance companies. There are also avenues for pursuing appeals, if necessary. Please contact our office for any questions regarding eligibilty. Remember that each company may have their own requirements and not all companies offer coverage. If your company does not offer bariatric surgery, we offer an affordable self-pay option.
